The insulation resistance measurement on high-voltage components must not be performed between HV+ (positive) and HV- (negative).
Otherwise the HV components may be damaged.
Carefully connect the probes of the insulation resistance tester to the HV connections.

The test must be performed if the ground fault circuit breaker (RCD) in the charging cable or the ground fault circuit breaker of the ground fault circuit breaker (RCD/FI) in the charge supply device have triggered, or the charger or the charger feed socket were replaced.
The test should only be performed on the high-voltage on-board electrical system after it has been disabled.
An insulation resistance tester is used for testing.
It must be ensured that the insulation resistance tester is in proper working order before commencing testing work in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications.
- Open cover of charger feed-in socket (X58/23).
- Check if protective earth conductor (PE) is connected.
The protective earth conductor (PE) is the yellow/green line that is connected to the charger.
- Check bolted connection of protective earth conductor (PE) on charger is firmly seated.
If bolted connection is loose.

Tighten bolted connection.
- Calibrate insulation resistance tester.
