	Remove
1	Disconnect battery ground line

2	Remove steering column cover
			AR68.30-P-2000MCC
3	Disconnect clock spring contact and airbag connector
	Check
4	Check whether lines are present at pin 8 and pin 9	The lines at pin 8 and pin 9 are marked with the letters "SAL". Refer to: ↓

		Location and assignment of line and plug connectors, cockpit MODEL 451.3 (except 451.39), 451.4 (except 451.49) with CODE 494 (US version) without CODE P02 (car2go) If lines are present at pin 8 and pin 9, the steering wheel with shift paddles can be installed directly. If the lines are not present at pin 8 and pin 9, they must be routed from the clock spring contact and airbag connector to the instrument cluster as per the wiring diagram. 	Install
6	Install steering wheel with steering wheel rocker switch system
			AR46.10-P-0100MCC
7	Enter special equipment in online vehicle data card via vehicle documentation system (VeDoc)	Enter CODE I75 (Leather sport steering wheel incl. steering wheel rocker switch system).
8	Document retrofitted equipment in VeDoc	Attach a note "Steering wheel with shift paddle retrofitted as per AZ46.10-P-1005MCC " under field organization texts for DG 46.
9	Connect Star Diagnosis and select vehicle via the vehicle identification number (VIN)

10	Perform variant coding with XENTRY using the software calibration number (SCN)	Software programming is not possible until it has been enabled by means of a transaction number. The order form for software enabling is available from the Market Performance Center. To activate the steering wheel rocker switch system follow the instructions in STAR DIAGNOSIS.
11	Disconnect Star Diagnosis
12	Conduct function test of steering wheel rocker switch system
