Remove/install expansion reservoir - AR20.30-P-4950OGE

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing coolant. Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

1 Switch off ignition    
2 Slowly open cover plate on expansion reservoir (4) and remove IMPORTANT The coolant temperature should be approx. 40°C.  
3 Unclamp coolant hose (5) with pinch-off pliers    
4 Suction coolant out of expansion reservoir (4) SPECIAL TOOL Hand pump Figure
5 Unclip electrical line at the retaining clamp on expansion reservoir (4)    
6 Disconnect electrical connector (3)    
7 Release locks and pull bleed lines (2) out of the expansion reservoir (4) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT replace O-rings.  
8 Lift up expansion reservoir (4) IMPORTANT To do this unclip expansion reservoir (4) on the firewall.  
9 Remove coolant hose (5) on expansion reservoir (4) SPECIAL TOOL Hose clamp pliers Figure
10 Remove expansion reservoir (4)    
11 Install in the reverse order    
INSPECT Checking     
12 Check coolant level and correct if necessary

13 Inspect cooling system for leaks   AR20.00-P-1010OMA 
DANGER Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury  caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

14 Conduct engine test run and check engine for leaks
