2	Unscrew nut (1a) and remove torsion bar linkage (1) from suspension strut (40)	Counterhold ball stud using internal TORX.

3	Unclip electrical line of right front brake wear sensor from right line bracket (3)	When removing the right suspension strut (40).

8	Secure steering knuckle (6) to prevent it from tilting away	The brake hose and electrical lines may not be pulled. Otherwise, the brake hose and the electrical lines may be damaged.

10	Remove cover (4) from suspension strut (40)

12	Remove suspension strut (40)
13	Take off cover (10)	If installed. If a cover (10) is not fitted, then one must be retrofitted. The cover (10) is mounted to the upper spring cup.
	Check
14	Check suspension strut (40) for damage	If damage is present: ↓ Replace suspension strut (40).
15	Install in the reverse order
16	Perform wheel alignment check		AR40.20-P-0200EW
	Risk of injury caused by drilling gas-filled assemblies or components (noncombustible gases)	Wear safety glasses and a face mask.	AS00.00-Z-0006-01A
17	Dispose of damaged suspension strut (40)	If the removed suspension strut (40) is damaged and consequently has to be replaced.
