Remove/install stabilizer bar on front axle - AR32.20-P-0300EW

	Remove/install
	Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
	Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts		AH00.00-N-0001-01A
		When working on the front-end assembly, be careful not to scratch, mark or notch the surfaces of aluminum parts. Otherwise the service life of the of the parts will be reduced.
		Tighten nuts and bolts of chassis components only when vehicle is in the ready-to-drive condition.
1.1	Remove center section of the lower engine compartment paneling	Vehicles with gasoline engine	AR61.20-P-1105EW
1.2	Remove center bottom section of soundproofing	Vehicles with diesel engine	AR94.30-P-5300EW
2	Remove cover panel from rack-and-pinion steering	Model 218
3	Remove nut (3) on both sides and push link rods (4) out of torsion bar (1)	Check rubber boots of link rods (4) for damage and replace link rods (4) if necessary. When unscrewing the nuts (3) counterhold at the spherical bolts with interior torx.

4	Remove retaining plate from rack-and-pinion steering	Model 212.077/277 Fasten rack-and-pinion steering using cable ties onto the front axle carrier. Replace bolts and nuts.

5	Remove bolts (5) on front axle carrier (2) and remove torsion bar (1)	Check rubber mount (6) and bearing shells (7) for damage and wear and replace torsion bar (1) if necessary. The rubber mount (6) and bearing shells (7) are vulcanized to the torsion bar (1).
