Assembly and covering work when painting the doors - AR98.00-P-0206EW

  Masking, taping

IMPORTANT General information on masking for paintwork   AH98.00-P-0200-01BK
  Front door     
1 Remove outside mirror Model 212 AR88.70-P-9000CW
Model 218 AR88.70-P-9000EL
2 Remove outer sealing strip SPECIAL TOOL Long wedge Fig 5
3 Remove door handle and rubber bases    
4 Remove trim strip IMPORTANT Trim strip must always be replaced  
5 Detach window guide rail in area of outside mirror    
6 Mask off all openings at door with masking tape  
7 Mask off door all around edge  
8 Cover complete vehicle  
  Rear door     
9 Remove outer sealing strip SPECIAL TOOL Long wedge Fig 5
10 Remove door handle and rubber bases    
11 Remove trim strip IMPORTANT Trim strip must always be replaced  
12 Mask off all openings at door with masking tape  
13 Mask off door all around edge  
14 Cover complete vehicle
