Remove/install supporting joint on wheel carrier - AR35.20-P-0116-01CW

REPAIR MATERIALS

BR00.45-Z-1002-06A Antifriction paste, rubber parts 2.5 kg, DB supply specification 6867.00 A 000 989 01 60

Removing 

  1. Pull supporting joint (7a) using SPECIAL TOOL extraction and insertion tool (01) out of wheel carrier (7).
  2. SPECIAL TOOL Remove extraction and insertion tool (01) with supporting joint (7a).

    Install 

  3. SPECIAL TOOL Attach insertion tool (02) with supporting ball joint (7a) to wheel carrier (7).

    IMPORTANT Coat lubricant paste onto rubber boot of supporting ball joint (7a), then slide on thrust piece of SPECIAL TOOL insertion tool (02) with a rotary movement.

    NOTES Position rubber boot of supporting ball joint (7a) fully in thrust piece, otherwise the rubber boot may be damaged during assembly.

  4. Install supporting joint (7a) using SPECIAL TOOL insertion tool (02) in direction of travel into wheel carrier (7).

    IMPORTANT The supporting joint (7a) is correctly pulled in when it is seated in the center of the wheel carrier eye (7b).
