Remove/install rear rubber mount in rear axle mount - AR35.10-P-0040-03CW

Removing

Always replace rubber mounts (1) in pairs. The following tools are required from the extraction and insertion tools:

thrust piece (01) 204 589 00 43 01,

counterholder (02) 204 589 00 43 02,

spindle (05) 204 589 00 43 05 and

sleeve (012) 204 589 00 43 12

Mark the installation position of the respective rubber mount (1) at cutout (arrow).

Attach thrust piece (01), counterholder (02), spindle (05) and sleeve (012) with hollow cylinder (015) and retaining belt (014) to rubber mount (1).
The retaining belt (014) must be routed behind the thrust piece, to prevent the hollow cylinder (15) from dropping down when pressing out the rubber mount (1).
Connect hand pump by means of hydraulic hose (013) on hollow cylinder (015).
Press out rear rubber mounts (1) from rear axle carrier (4).
If necessary remove guide pin (2) of rubber bushing (1) from bearing support on the underfloor.

Install

Make true vertical marking (arrow) as a bearing aid on the rubber bushing.

The following tools are required from the extraction and insertion tools :

thrust piece (03) 204 589 00 43 03,

counterholder (04) 204 589 00 43 04,

spindle (05) 204 589 00 43 05 and

sleeve (012) 204 589 00 43 12
Coat new rubber mount (1) with antifriction agent.
Attach thrust piece (03), counterholder (04), spindle (05) and sleeve (012) with hollow cylinder (015) and retaining belt (014) to rubber mount (1).
Press rubber mount (1) into rear axle carrier (4).
