Measure tilt and torsional play on two-mass flywheel - AR03.30-P-8010A

REMOVING Remove     
1 Remove clutch MODEL 169, 245 AR25.10-P-0050AL
    MODEL 171, 172 AR25.10-P-0050V
    MODEL 204 AR25.10-P-0050CW
    MODEL 207 AR25.10-P-0050CWA
    MODEL 212 AR25.10-P-0050EW
    MODEL 117, 156, 176, 242, 246 AR25.10-P-0050NKB
CLEAN Clean     
2 Clean two-mass flywheel (3) free of clutch dust and soiling Loctite 7200 *BR00.45-Z-1038-04A 
    Loctite 7063 cleaning spray (150 ml) *BR00.45-Z-1046-04A 
3 Read off manufacturer of the two-mass flywheel (3) on two-mass flywheel (3)    
  Measure tipping play     
4 Mount dial indicator (01) with dial indicator holder (02) on two-mass flywheel (3) IMPORTANTSPECIAL TOOL Mount dial indicator (01) with SPECIAL TOOL dial indicator holder (02) on two-mass flywheel (3) in such a way that the measuring tip on the SPECIAL TOOL dial indicator (01) touches the crankcase between the threaded hole and the bore for the centering pin of the transmission on the crankcase, as shown in the picture.

5 Screw in a coupling screw opposite the dial indicator (01) by some turns into the two-mass flywheel (3)    
6 Move dial indicator (01) to zero position    
7 Press two-mass flywheel (3) opposite the dial indicator (01) by hand on the outer area of the friction surface of the two-mass flywheel (3) in the direction engine and read off the value in a pressed condition from the dial indicator (01) and make a note of it IMPORTANT The value will be needed for further computation of the overall tipping play.  
8 Pull the two-mass flywheel (3) by hand at the previously screwed in coupling screw away from the engine and read off the value in a drawn condition from the dial indicator (01) and make a note of it IMPORTANT The value will be needed for further computation of the overall tipping play.  
9 Add the values, ignoring the algebraic sign, to produce an overall value and compare with the specified value If necessary:

install new two-mass flywheel (3).		  
    Engine 272 in model 204 with transmission 711.6 or transmission 716.6 AR03.30-P-8001CV

    Tipping play of two-mass flywheel *BE03.30-P-1001-03D 
10 Detach dial indicator (01) together with dial indicator holder (02)    
  Measure torsional play     
11 Turn the two-mass flywheel (3) at the positioning pin (1) of the connector clockwise to the left against the end stop/resistance and counterhold IMPORTANT Do not override the resistance upon reaching the end stop since the actual value will be falsified otherwise.  
12 Mark position of the flexible part relative to the fixed part    
13 Turn the two-mass flywheel (3) at the positioning pin (1) of the connector clockwise to the right against the end stop/resistance and counterhold IMPORTANT Do not override the resistance upon reaching the end stop since the actual value will be falsified otherwise.  
14 Mark position of the flexible part relative to the fixed part    
15 Count off the position markings on the two-mass flywheel (3) to the teeth on the starter ring gear and compare with the specified value If necessary:

install new two-mass flywheel (3).		  
    Engine 272 in model 204 with transmission 711.6 or transmission 716.6 AR03.30-P-8001CV
