Remove/install rear door - AR72.12-P-0600CW

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of injury  caused by performing testing or repair work on airbag or emergency tensioning retractor units. Store airbag units with deployment side facing up; do not expose to temperatures greater than 100 °C. When working on these units, disconnect the power supply. AS91.00-Z-0001-01A
1 Completely lower crank window    
2 Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key or KEYLESS-GO start/stop button from electronic ignition lock control unit IMPORTANT KEYLESS-GO start/stop button only on vehicles with code (889) Keyless-Go.  
3 Disconnect battery ground line MODEL 204.0/2/9 AR54.10-P-0003CW
MODEL 212.0/2, 218 AR54.10-P-0003EW
4 Unlock plug (arrow) and disconnect left rear door electrical connector (X35/3) or right rear door electrical connector (X35/4)    
5 Remove caps (2) and unscrew bolts below INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Use thread locking agent. Repair paint damage on bolt heads.  
TORQUE SPECIFICATION MODEL 204, 212 *BA72.12-P-1003-01O 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION
MODEL 218		 *BA72.12-P-1005-01J 
Loctite 243 *BR00.45-Z-1066-01A 
6 Remove rear door (1) from door hinges (3) with aid of helper and lay down on suitable base NOTES Remove rear door (1) carefully.
Danger of damaging paint on rear door (1) and B-pillar.		  
7 Perform cavity preservation MODEL 204.0/2/9, 212.0/2, 218
When replacing rear door (1).

MODEL 218 AR97.20-P-1500EL
8 Install in the reverse order    
9 Check adjustment of rear door (1), correct if necessary MODEL 204.0/2/9, 212.2, 218
MODEL 212.0
without CODE Z04 (Light armoring)		 AR72.12-P-0650CW 
10 Check for proper function and synchronize power window
