Remove/install fixed window in rear door - AR72.12-P-1970CW

REMOVING Removing     
DANGER Risk of injury  caused by fingers being pinched or crushed  when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lids, liftgates or sliding roof Keep body parts and limbs well clear of moving parts. AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
1 Prepare 1-component adhesive cartridge   AR67.10-P-1000-12SX

2 Remove door liner from rear door (3)   AR72.12-P-1010CW 
3 Remove inner window lining (16)    
4 Remove window guide seal (2)   AR72.12-P-1911CW 
5 Remove cover (10) Model 204.2/9  
6 Remove inner sealing rail (4)    
7 Remove outer sealing rail (5)    
8 Remove window separator bar (6)    
9 Fix in place crank window (15) on outer door paneling in window channel with suitable adhesive tape (13) and mask window shaft so that glue residues cannot fall into the window shaft when cutting out the stationary window (1).    
DANGER Risk of injury  caused by slipping when inserting blade in the multicutter and by glass splinters when cutting out bonded windows Always interrupt air supply or power supply before inserting or removing blade.
Wear protective gloves and safety glasses.

10 Cut adhesive and remove stationary window (1) IMPORTANT Observe course of glue bead (7)
NOTES When cutting through the adhesive, ensure that the blade is not damaged on the sheet metal webs (17) in the area of the cutout (arrow).

INSTALLING Install     
11 Cut remaining adhesive off of rear door (3) with suitable scraper and remove loosen glue residues. IMPORTANT Do not leave more than 2 mm of adhesive.  
12 Clean adhesive areas on rear door (3) and stationary window (1) with cleaner from repair kit and rub dry with dry cloth NOTES The adhesive area must be absolutely free of dust and grease to prevent a decrease in the gluing force when installing the window.
IMPORTANT Always replace stationary window (1) after removal.
 
Repair kit *BR00.45-Z-1089-02A 
13 Repair paint damages on rear door (3) not covered by glue bead (9) with primer stick    
14 Coat adhesive areas on rear door (3) and stationary window (1) with primer from repair kit NOTES Allow primer to flash off for at least 10 minutes, otherwise the adhesive force of the glue is decreased.
IMPORTANT Prime points on adhesion area on rear door (3) without adhesive residues.

15 Apply bead of adhesive (9) to rear door (3) NOTES Install stationary window (1) in the front door (3) within 10 minutes after applying the adhesive bead (9) Otherwise the adhesive force of the adhesive starts to decrease.
IMPORTANT Uniformly apply bead of adhesive material. The height of the adhesive bead (9) is approx. 13 mm.

16.1 Install stationary window (1) on rear door (3) with bottom area and clip in expansion clips (8). Model 204.0
IMPORTANT Ensure that the expansion clips (8) arrest completely.
 
16.2 Install stationary window (1) on rear door (3) with bottom area. Then clip in upper expansion clip (11), then lower expansion clip (11). Simultaneously arrest catch hooks (14) Model 204.2/9
NOTES Do not push frame (12) on stationary window (1). Otherwise the frame (12) can be damaged.
IMPORTANT Ensure that the expansion clips (11) and the catch hooks (14) arrest completely.
 
16.3 Install stationary window (1) on rear door (3) with bottom area and clip in Model 212  
17 Remove adhesive tape (13)    
18 Install window separator bar (6)    
19 Install outer sealing rail (5)    
20 Install inner sealing rails (4) Antifriction agent *BR00.45-Z-1010-06A 
21 Install covering (10) Model 204.2/9  
22 Install window guide seal (2)   AR72.12-P-1911CW 
23 Install inner window lining (16)    
24 Install door lining on rear door (3)   AR72.12-P-1010CW
