Remove/install electronic steering lock - AR46.10-P-0910EW

	Remove/install
	Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge		AH54.00-P-0001-01A
1	Insert ignition key into ignition lock	The ignition key must not be removed otherwise the electronic steering lock will lock and cannot be removed.
2	Remove steering column tube module		AR54.25-P-2802EW
3	Remove cover (1) from instrument cluster (A1)	Refer to Remove instrument cluster (A1).	AR54.30-P-6015EW
4	Remove leather bag (2)
5	Remove left cover below dashboard
6	Remove cover above pedal assembly	If necessary
7	Detach vent duct (3)	Vehicles with adjustable steering column
8	Remove bolts (11a, 11b) and loosen bolts (12a, 12b)	Only unscrew bolts (12a, 12b) to enable the steering column tube (7) to be lowered. The bolt (12a) must be fitted first, and then the bolt (11a). After the bolts (12b, 11b) are fitted, tighten all bolts.

9	Separate electrical line of control unit (N26/5) at electrical connector (a)
10	Unscrew nut (10) of control unit (N26/5)		*BA46.10-P-1003-03Q
11	Press grub screw (13s) in control unit (N26/5) and move control unit (N26/5) upwards out of steering column tube (7)
12	Install in the reverse order
