	Checking
1	Disconnect ground line for on-board electrical system battery (G1)	Model 212, 218	AR54.10-P-0003EW
1		Model 221	AR54.10-P-0003SX
2	Disconnect positive lead on the on-board electrical system battery (G1)
3	Disconnect positive lead "B+" at the alternator (G2)		*BA15.40-P-1002-01D
4	Connect multimeter (003)	Refer connection diagram.
5	Test prefuse (250 A) (1)	If the resistance is > 1Ω the wiring harness is defective and must be replaced. The prefuse (250 A) (1) is integrated in the wiring harness.
6	Read out and erase fault memory using STAR DIAGNOSIS	Stored faults which may be caused by assembly work, test work, removed lines or a simulation, must be processed and erased in fault memories after completing the work.	AD00.00-P-2000-04A
