Observe the following specified sequence
when tightening in order to avoid stresses in the cylinder head.
Distortion of the cylinder head will occur otherwise.
Loosening takes place in reverse order (see Fig 1).
All screw/bolts should be tightened with a tightening torque or tightening angle according to the respective stage.
- Tighten screw/bolts M12x226 (14) according to Stage 1
.
- M8x90 Tighten screw/bolt (13)
- M8x60 Tighten screw/bolts (12)
- Tighten screw/bolts M12x226(14) according to Stage 2.
- Check tightening torque of the screw/bolt M8x90X (13); adjust if necessary.
- Check tightening torque of screw/bolts M8x60 (12); adjust if necessary.
- Tighten screw/bolts M12x226(14) according to Stage 3.
- Tighten screw/bolts M12x226(14) according to Stage 4.
- Tighten screw/bolts M12x226(14) according to Stage 5.
- Tighten screw/bolts M12x226(14) according to Stage 6.
