DANGER Risk of death  when touching components on vehicles with high-voltage on-board electrical system Do not touch components and open lines of the high-voltage on-board electrical system. Persons who wear electronic implants (e.g. cardiac pacemakers), must not  carry out any work on high-voltage on-board electrical systems. AS54.00-Z-0001-01A
DANGER Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant. Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove transmitter key and battery charger power supply plug    
DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
2 Raise vehicle with vehicle lift    
3 Remove condenser   AR83.30-P-6540MCC
4 Open cap (3) and suction off coolant from expansion reservoir (2)    
5 Clamp off coolant hose (7) on cooler (1) with clamping device SPECIAL TOOL Clamp Figure
6 Release clamp (8) with hose clamp pliers and push to the rear on the coolant hose (7) SPECIAL TOOL Hose clamp pliers Figure
7 Detach coolant hose (7) from connection fitting IMPORTANT Collect escaping coolant in a suitable container and close connection fitting using a suitable stop plug.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Check clamp (8) and coolant hose (7) for damage; replace if necessary.
 
8 Unfasten click clamp (4) on cooler (1)    
9 Unfasten expansion reservoir (2) with coolant hose (5) on the side from the bracket (9) (arrow b) and detach the coolant hose (5) from the cooler (1) IMPORTANT Collect escaping coolant in a suitable container and close connection fitting using a suitable stop plug.  
10 Lay expansion reservoir (2) to the side with coolant hoses connected. IMPORTANT Secure expansion reservoir (2) against falling down using a suitable cable tie.  
11 Carefully unlock and take off cooler (1) from the catch hooks (arrows a) on radiator support (6) to the front    
12 Install in the reverse order    
13 Bleed cooling system using Star Diagnosis
