Removal [07/2015 - ]: Procedure
- REMOVE COMBINATION METER NOTE:
- If configuration is not performed when the combination meter is replaced with a new one, the vehicle specification information is not stored in the combination meter and the system will not normally.
- When performing configuration, it is necessary to read the vehicle specification information from the combination meter before replacing it. Connect the M-MDS to the vehicle and perform vehicle identification before removing the combination meter. The vehicle specification information is temporarily stored in the M-MDS.
HINT:
- The combination meter prior to replacement stores the vehicle specification information.
- A new combination meter does not store any vehicle specification information.
- If the vehicle specification information from the combination meter prior to replacement cannot be read, perform the configuration using As-Built data.
- When replacing the combination meter, perform the configuration.

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.

- Remove the upper column cover.

- Remove the screws.NOTE:
When removing the combination meter, the combination meter may contact the light switch, wiper switch, or the start stop unit and the combination meter may be scratched. When removing the combination meter, cover the light switch, wiper switch, and start stop unit using a rag.
*a Screw *b Combination Meter - Cover the light switch, wiper switch, and start stop unit using a rag to prevent scratches.
*a Rag - Pull the combination meter outward to detach it from the dashboard pins.
*a Pin *b Combination Meter - Rotate the combination meter in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure.
*a Combination Meter - Disconnect the connector.
*a Connector *b Combination Meter - Remove the combination meter by sliding it between the dashboard and the steering.
