DTC P0C73-776: Motor Electronics Coolant Pump "A" Control Performance: Procedure
- CHECK QUANTITY OF EV COOLANT. Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
B → ADD EV COOLANT
C → REPAIR COOLANT LEAKS AND ADD COOLANT
A: Go to next step
- CHECK COOLANT HOSE. Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
NG → CORRECT THE PROBLEM
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK WATER PUMP WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY NOTE:
Be sure to perform the inspection with the auxiliary battery voltage at 11 V or more.
HINT:
When the auxiliary battery voltage is low, the water pump with motor assembly may not operate.
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / EV / Data List.
- Select Inverter Water Pump Revolution in the Data List.
- Read the Data List.
Standard
Techstream Display Switch Condition Specified Condition Inverter Water Pump Revolution Power switch on (IG) 625 rpm or less - Turn the power switch off.

- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (ACTIVATE THE WATER PUMP) NOTE:
Be sure to perform the inspection with the auxiliary battery voltage at 11 V or more.
HINT:
When the auxiliary battery voltage is low, the water pump with motor assembly may not operate.
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / EV / Active Test / Activate the Water Pump.
- Select Inverter Water Pump Revolution in the Data List.
- While performing the "Activate the Water Pump" Active Test, check Inverter Water Pump Revolution in the Data List.
Standard
Techstream Display Switch Condition Specified Condition Inverter Water Pump Revolution Power switch on (IG) 2000 to 5375 rpm HINT:
Perform the Active Test with the inverter coolant temperature between -15 and 65°C (5 to 149°F).
- Turn the power switch off.

- CHECK COOLANT (CHECK FOR CONDITIONS THAT MAY HAVE CAUSED FREEZING). Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

- Check the connector connections and contact pressure of the relevant terminals for the water pump with motor assembly connectors.

- Check the connector connections and contact pressure of the relevant terminals for the water pump with motor assembly connectors.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU - WATER PUMP WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY)
- Disconnect the power management control ECU connector.
- Disconnect the water pump with motor assembly connector.

- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / EV / Data List.
- Select Inverter Water Pump Revolution in the Data List.
- Remove the INV W/P fuse from the No. 2 motor compartment relay block.
- Read the Data List.
