Inspection Procedure
WARNING:
- When disposing of an electric vehicle battery assembly, make sure to return it through an authorized collection agent who is capable of handling it safely. If it is returned via the manufacturer specified route, it will be returned properly and in a safe manner by an authorized collection agent.
- Before returning the electric vehicle battery assembly, make sure to perform a recovery inspection. Refer to RECOVERY INSPECTION .
- Make a note of the output DTCs as some of them may be necessary for recovery inspection of the electric vehicle battery assembly.
HINT:
If, after performing troubleshooting, it is necessary to replace the electric vehicle battery assembly, voltages need to be confirmed after installing the new electric vehicle battery assembly. Confirm that "Battery No. 1 Power Resource VB", "VL-Voltage", and "VH-Voltage" in the Data List are power switch on (READY) and park (P) selected. When the system is normal, the "Battery No. 1 Power Resource VB", "VL-Voltage", and "VH-Voltage" values should be almost equal. If the difference between each voltage exceeds the values specified below, there is a malfunction in the inverter with converter assembly.
| Inspection voltage | Maximum voltage difference |
|---|---|
| Difference between "Battery No. 1 Power Resource VB" and "VL-Voltage" | 49 V |
| Difference between "Battery No. 1 Power Resource VB" and "VH-Voltage" | 63 V |
| Difference between "VL-Voltage" and "VH-Voltage" | 92 V |
