DTC P0AC0-817: EV Battery Pack Current Sensor "A" Circuit Range / Performance: Description
- The battery total current sensor is installed to the negative (-) cable of the electric vehicle battery assembly and measures the current flow of the electric vehicle battery assembly. It sends a voltage value which changes in proportion to the current flow of the battery (between 0 and 5 V) from the total current sensor to the TIB terminal. When the total current sensor output voltage is less than 2.8 V, this indicates that the electric vehicle battery assembly is discharging, and when it is over 2.8 V it indicates that the electric vehicle battery assembly is charging. The power management control ECU (EV function) takes the input signal from TIB terminal, and from that signal determines the charging/discharging rate of the electric vehicle battery assembly.
