DTC P0A93-346: Inverter Cooling System Performance: Procedure
- CHECK DTC OUTPUT (EV)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / EV / Trouble Codes.
- Check if DTCs related to the EV control system are output.
Result
Result Proceed to Only P0A93-346 is output, or DTCs other than the ones in the table below are also output. A Any of the following DTCs are also output. P0A93-346 may be set due to a malfunction which also causes DTCs in the preceding table to be set. In this case, first troubleshoot the output DTCs in the preceding table. Then, perform a test to attempt to reproduce the problems, and check that no DTCs are output.

- INSPECT VEHICLE EXTERIOR
- Check that the front bumper does not have a cover, etc. installed which could block the grill and ducts.
HINT:
- If the grill and ducts of the front bumper are blocked, the inverter coolant temperature could rise and cause this DTC to be output.
- If a cover, etc. is found when inspecting the vehicle, explain the situation to the customer and then remove the cover after getting the customer's permission.
- If no cover is found on the vehicle, interview the customer to determine whether or not a cover had been installed previously. If a cover had been installed previously, explain to the customer that the grill and ducts of the front bumper should not be blocked.

- CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY CONNECTOR). Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

- CHECK QUANTITY OF EV COOLANT. Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
B → ADD EV COOLANT
C → REPAIR COOLANT LEAK AND ADD COOLANT

- CHECK COOLANT HOSE. Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
NG → CORRECT THE PROBLEM

- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (ELECTRIC COOLING FAN). Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (DATA LIST)
- Turn the power switch off and leave the vehicle for at least 1 hour.
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / EV / Data List.
- Select "Inverter Coolant Water Temperature" and "Motor Inverter Temperature" in the Data List.
- Read the Data List.

Result Proceed to The difference between "Inverter Coolant Water Temperature" value and "Motor Inverter Temperature" value is smaller than 20°C (36°F) A The difference between "Inverter Coolant Water Temperature" value and "Motor Inverter Temperature" value is 20°C (36°F) or more.
