Roof Headlining: Removal
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL CAUTION: Wait for at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the airbag from working.
- REMOVE REAR FLOOR CARPET ASSEMBLY
- Release the 2 knobs and remove the rear floor carpet.
- REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX
- Remove the rear deck floor box.
- REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX RH
- Remove the 2 nuts and remove the deck floor box.
- REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX LH
- Remove the 2 nuts and remove the deck floor box.
- REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION WITH COVER PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
- Disengage the 10 claws and remove the front door scuff plate.
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the RH side.
- REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH
- Disengage the clip, claw and guide and remove the cowl side trim board.
- REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH

Use the same procedure as for the RH side.
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH
- Remove the front door opening trim weatherstrip.
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

- REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
- Disengage the 8 claws and remove the rear door scuff plate.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

- REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH
- Remove the rear door opening trim weatherstrip.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

- REMOVE REAR DECK TRIM COVER
- Disengage the 4 clips, 4 claws and 2 guides and remove the rear deck trim cover.
- REMOVE LUGGAGE HOLD BELT STRIKER ASSEMBLY
HINT:
Use the same procedure for both sides.
- Remove the 2 bolts and 2 luggage hold belt strikers.
- REMOVE REAR SEAT BACK HINGE
HINT:
Use the same procedure for both sides.
- Remove the bolt and rear seat back hinge.
- REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH
- Remove the belt from the rear seat shoulder belt hanger
- Remove the bolt and floor anchor
- REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the RH side
- REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY RH
- Using a clip remover, remove the clip.
- Disengage the 6 clips and 7 claws and remove the deck trim side panel.
- REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH
- Using a clip remover, remove the clip.
- Disengage the 6 clips and 7 claws and remove the deck trim side panel
- Disconnect the luggage compartment light connector
- REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH ASSEMBLY RH
- Using a clip remover, remove the clip.
- Disengage the 7 clips and remove the roof side inner garnish.
- Pass the rear seat outer belt through the slit in the roof side inner garnish.
- REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH ASSEMBLY LH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the RH side.
- REMOVE SEAT BELT ANCHOR COVER CAP
HINT:
Use the same procedure for both sides.
- Pull portion A, shown in the illustration, toward you, remove the 2 claws on the lower side followed by the claw on the upper side. Then remove the seat belt anchor cover cap.
- REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH
- Remove the bolt and through anchor.
- REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

Use the same procedure as for the RH side.
- REMOVE CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH RH
- Disengage the 2 clips, 3 claws and guide and remove the center pillar lower garnish.
- REMOVE CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH LH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the RH side.
- REMOVE CENTER PILLAR UPPER GARNISH RH
- Disengage the 2 clips and guide and remove the center pillar upper garnish.
- REMOVE CENTER PILLAR UPPER GARNISH LH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the RH side.
- REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH NOTICE:
- Install a protective cover onto the curtain shield airbag as soon as the front pillar garnish is removed.
- Replace the front pillar garnish clip with a new one when the front pillar garnish is removed.
- Pull the upper part of the garnish toward the inside of the cabin and disengage the 2 clips.
- Cut off clip A.
- Disengage the 2 clips and 2 guides and remove the front pillar garnish.
- Remove clip A from the vehicle body.
- Completely coyer the curtain shield airbag with a piece of cloth or nylon and fix the ends of the protective cover with adhesive tape, as shown in the illustration.

- REMOVE ASSIST GRIP
HINT:
Use the same procedure to remove all assist grips.
- Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 4 claws and remove the 2 assist grip covers.
- Disengage the 2 clips and remove the assist grip
- REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY RH
- Using a screwdriver, with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 4 claws and remove the visor cover
- Remove the visor shaft from the visor holder.
- Disengage the 2 clips and remove the visor.
- REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY LH

Use the same procedure as for the RH side.
- REMOVE VISOR HOLDER
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the RH side.
- Turn the visor holder approximately 45° and pull it out as shown in the illustration.
- Disengage the 2 claws and remove the visor holder.
- REMOVE ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY
- Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 4 claws and remove the room light lens.
- Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 4 claws and remove the 2 room light covers.
- Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 4 claws and remove the room light.
- Remove the roof wire from the claw on the room light.
- Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 4 claws and remove the room light switch base.
- REMOVE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY
- Using a molding remover D, disengage the 4 claws and remove the map light.
- Disconnect the map light connector
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH CENTER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH LOWER PANEL (See REMOVAL )

- Disconnect the antenna cord connector
- Using a clip remover, disengage the 4 clamps.
- Disconnect the roof wire connector
- Disconnect the roof wire from the harness clamp.
- Using a clip remover, disengage the 5 clamps.
- Disconnect the 2 connectors.
- Remove the bolt and bracket.
- Using a clip remover, remove the 5 clips.
- Remove the roof headlining from the back door.
- REMOVE NO. 1 ROOF SILENCER
- Remove the 2 No. 1 roof silencers.
- REMOVE NO. 3 ROOF PANEL PAD
- Remove the No 3 roof panel pad.
- REMOVE NO. 4 ROOF PANEL PAD
- Remove the No 4 roof panel pad
- REMOVE NO. 1 ROOF SILENCER PAD
- Remove the 5 No. 1 roof silencer pads.
- REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING PAD RH
- Remove the 8 adhesive portions and the roof headlining pad.
- REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING PAD LH
- Remove the 8 adhesive portions and the roof headlining pad
- REMOVE FRONT SIDE RAIL SPACER RH
- Remove the 2 adhesive portions and the front side rail spacer.
- REMOVE FRONT SIDE RAIL SPACER LH

- REMOVE ROOF WIRE
- Remove the 10 pieces of tape.
- Remove the roof wire from the roof headlining.
- REMOVE NO. 2 ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
