Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT DLC3 TERMINAL VOLTAGE 
    1. Turn the ignition switch ON.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the table below.

    Standard: 

    TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION

    Tester Connection Specified Condition
    TC (D1-13) - CG (D1-4) 11 to 14 V

    1. NG : Go to step   3 
    2. OK : GO TO NEXT STEP. 
  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ECM - SKID CONTROL ECU) 
    1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector and the ECM connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the table below.

    Standard: 

    TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION

    Tester Connection Specified Condition
    ENG+ (E6-24) - ENG+ (S1-9) Below 1 Ω
    ENG- (E6-30) - ENG- (S1-23) Below 1 Ω
    ENG+ (S1-9) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
    ENG- (S1-30) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    1. NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    2. OK : REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY (See  REPLACEMENT  ) 
    NOTE: When replacing the brake actuator assy, perform the zero point calibration (see CALIBRATION  ).
  3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (DLC3 - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the table below.

    Standard: 

    TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION

    Tester Connection Specified Condition
    CG (D1-4) - Body ground Below 1 Ω

    1. NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    2. OK : GO TO NEXT STEP. 
  4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ECM - DLC3) 
    1. Disconnect the ECM connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the table below.

    Standard: 

    TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION

    Tester Connection Specified Condition
    TC (E6-20) -TC (D1-13) Below 1 Ω
    TC (D1-13) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    1. NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    2. OK : GO TO NEXT STEP. 
  5. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ECM - SKID CONTROL ECU) 
    1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector and the ECM connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the table below.

    Standard: 

    TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION

    Tester Connection Specified Condition
    ENG+ (E6-24) - ENG+ (S1-9) Below 1 Ω
    ENG- (E6-30) - ENG- (S1-23) Below 1 Ω
    ENG+ (S1-9) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
    ENG- (S1-30) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    1. NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    2. OK : REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY (See  REPLACEMENT  )
