Inspection Procedure
HINT: Start the inspection from step 1 when using the hand-held tester, and start from step 2 when not using the hand-held tester.
- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST BY HAND-HELD TESTER (SLIP INDICATOR LAMP)
- Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
- Start the engine.
- Select "SLIP INDI LIGHT" in the ACTIVE TEST and operate the SLIP indicator lamp on the hand-held tester.
- Check that "ON" and "OFF" of the SLIP indicator lamp can be shown on the combination meter by the hand-held tester.

- OK : GO TO NEXT STEP.
- CHECK SLIP INDICATOR LAMP
- Check that the SLIP indicator lamp turns on for 3 seconds soon after the ignition switch is turned ON.
- NG : Go to step 3
- OK : END
- INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY (SLIP INDICATOR LAMP)
- Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
- Turn the ignition switch ON.
- Measure the voltage according to the table below.
Standard:

- NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
- OK : REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY (See REPLACEMENT )
NOTE: When replacing the brake actuator assy, perform the zero point calibration (see CALIBRATION ).
