Inspection Procedure
- READ VALUE OF HAND-HELD TESTER (MASTER CYLINDER PRESSURE SENSOR)
- Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
- Select the DATA LIST mode on the hand-held tester.
- Check that the brake fluid pressure value of the master cylinder pressure sensor observed in the hand-held tester changes when the brake pedal is depressed.
MEASUREMENT ITEM CONDITIONItem Measurement Item/ Range (Display Normal Condition Diagnostic Note MAS CYL PRESS 1 Master cylinder pressure sensor 1 reading/Min.: 0 V, Max.: 5 V When brake pedal is released, voltage changes from 0.3 V to 0.9 V Reading increases when brake pedal is depressed OK : Brake fluid pressure value (voltage) changes from 0.3 V to 0.9 V.
- NG : Go to step 2
- OK : REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY (See REPLACEMENT )
NOTE: When replacing the brake actuator assy, perform the zero point calibration (see CALIBRATION ). - INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU TERMINAL VOLTAGE (STP TERMINAL)
- Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the table below.
