Inspection Procedure
- INSPECT FUSE (ABS, ALT)
- Remove ABS H-fuse and ALT H-fuse from the FL block.
- Measure the resistance according to the table below.
Standard: Blow 1 Ω
- NG : REPLACE FUSE
- OK : GO TO NEXT STEP.
- INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR (+BS TERMINAL VOLTAGE)
- Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the table below.
Standard:
TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester Connection Specified Condition S1-31 (+BS) - Body ground 11 to 14 V
- NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (+BS CIRCUIT)
- OK : GO TO NEXT STEP.
- INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR (GND TERMINAL RESISTANCE)
- Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the table below.
Standard:
TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester Connection Specified Condition S1-32 (GND1) - Body ground Below 1 Ω S1-1 (GND2) - Body ground Below 1 Ω
- NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (GND CIRCUIT)
- OK : GO TO NEXT STEP.
- RECONFIRM DTC
HINT:
This DTC will be displayed when the internal malfunction of the brake actuator assy is detected. Therefore, perform the recurrence test before replacing the brake actuator assy to check that the DTC is displayed.
- Clear the DTCs (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).
- Drive the vehicle at 6 km/h (4 mph) or more.
- Is DTC output?
- NO : PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN ON PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )
- YES : REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY (See REPLACEMENT )
NOTE: When replacing the brake actuator assy, perform the zero point calibration (see CALIBRATION ).
