Roof Headlining ASSY: Replacement

HINT:

  1. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSY 
  2. REMOVE DECK BOARD SUB-ASSY 
  3. REMOVE BACK DOOR SCUFF PLATE 
    1. Using a clip remover, detach the 4 clips and remove the scuff plate.

  4. REMOVE BACK DOOR WEATHERSTRIP 
  5. REMOVE SPARE WHEEL COVER ASSY 
  6. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX LH 
    1. Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips and box.
  7. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX RH 
    1. Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips and box.
  8. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX REAR 
  9. REMOVE DECK BOARD SUB-ASSY 
  10. REMOVE DECK BOARD NO. 1 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the bolt and rope hook.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Using a clip remover, detach the 4 clips and remove the deck board.

  11. REMOVE REAR FLOOR BOARD NO. 1 
    1. Using a clip remover, detach the clip and remove the board.

  12. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE OUTSIDE LH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 clips and remove the scuff plate.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  13. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE OUTSIDE RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  14. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 10 claws and remove the scuff plate.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  15. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  16. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSY LH 
    1. Remove the clip labeled A.
    2. Using a clip remover, detach the 2 clips labeled B and remove the trim.

  17. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSY RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  18. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSY (See  OVERHAUL  ) 
  19. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 
  20. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 
  21. REMOVE SIDE NO. 1 TRIM ASSY LH 
    1. Remove the 2 floor anchor bolts (front and rear seat belt).
    2. Using a clip remover, remove the clip labeled A.
    3. Using a screwdriver, detach the claw labeled A and remove the hook of the trim by turning it counterclockwise.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    4. Using a clip remover, disengage the 8 clips.
    5. Detach the 3 claws and remove the trim.

  22. REMOVE SIDE NO. 1 TRIM ASSY RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  23. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH 
    1. Remove the 2 screws.
    2. Using a clip remover, detach the clip and remove the garnish.

    3. w/ Curtain shield airbag:

      Remove the 2 screws.

    4. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and clip, and remove the garnish.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  24. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  25. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH INNER LOWER LH 
    1. Using a clip remover, detach the 5 clips and remove the garnish.

  26. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH INNER LOWER RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  27. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSY LH 
    1. Insert a 3 mm (0.12 in.) hexagon wrench into the hole A to disengage the claw, then remove the luggage hook from the side panel.
    2. Remove the luggage hook, bolt and rope hook.
    3. Using a clip remover, detach the 4 clips.
    4. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the side panel.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  28. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSY RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  29. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH ASSY INNER LH 
    1. Using a clip remover, detach the 4 clips and remove the garnish.

    2. w/ Curtain shield airbag:
    3. Using a clip remover, detach the 3 clips labeled A.
    4. Using a screwdriver, firmly push the pin to disengage the clip labeled B.

      HINT:

      • Clip B cannot be reused.
      • Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  30. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH ASSY INNER RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  31. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH 
    1. Using a clip remover, detach the 2 clips and remove the garnish.

    2. w/ Curtain shield airbag:
    3. Using a clip remover, detach the clip labeled A.
    4. Using a screwdriver, firmly push the pin to detach the clip B.

      HINT:

      • Clip B cannot be reused.
      • Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    5. w/ Curtain shield airbag:

      Protect the curtain shield airbag LH.

      1. Thoroughly cover the airbag with a piece of cloth or nylon that is 700 mm (27.56 in.) x 120 mm (4.72 in.) and fix the ends of the cover with adhesive tape, as shown.
      NOTE: Cover the curtain shield airbag with the protective cover as soon as the pillar garnish is removed.

  32. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  33. REMOVE MAP LAMP ASSY 
    1. Using a clip remover, detach the 3 clips and remove the lamp.
    2. Disconnect the map lamp connector.

  34. REMOVE ROOM LAMP ASSY NO. 1 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the lens.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws labeled A and 2 claws labeled B, and remove the lamp.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    3. Disconnect the lamp connector.

  35. REMOVE ROOM LAMP ASSY NO. 2 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the lamp from the deck trim side panel LH.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  36. REMOVE LH VISOR ASSY 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and visor.
  37. REMOVE RH VISOR ASSY 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and visor.
  38. REMOVE VISOR HOLDER LH 
    1. Remove the visor holder by turning it counterclockwise.

  39. REMOVE VISOR HOLDER RH 
    1. Remove the visor holder by turning it counterclockwise.
  40. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP COVER 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 covers.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  41. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP SUB-ASSY 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the assist grip.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  42. REMOVE COAT HOOK 
    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw and remove the bolt and coat hook.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  43. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSY 
    1. Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.
    2. Disengage the 26 fasteners and remove the headlining.

  44. REMOVE SIDE RAIL SPACER FRONT LH (w/o CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG) 
  45. REMOVE SIDE RAIL SPACER FRONT RH (w/o CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG) 
  46. REMOVE SIDE RAIL SPACER REAR LH (w/o CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG) 
  47. REMOVE SIDE RAIL SPACER REAR RH (w/o CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG) 
  48. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSY 
    1. Attach the wire harness to the headlining with tape as shown.

      HINT:

      Be careful that dirt and foreign matter do not contaminate the tape's adhesive.

    2. Attach the roof wire harness with tape.
      NOTE: Attach the roof wire harness securely.
    3. Attach the 26 fasteners.
    4. Install the headlining with the 2 clips.
