Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT DLC3 TERMINAL VOLTAGE 
    1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard: 

      DLC3 TERMINAL VOLTAGE

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      TS (D1-12) - CG (D1-4) 11 to 14 V

    1. NG: Go to step   3 
    2. OK: Go to next follow T/o 
  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - DLC3) 
    1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard: 

      SKID CONTROL ECU - DLC3 RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      TS (S3-24) - TS (D1-12) 1 Ωor less
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard: 

      SKID CONTROL ECU - DLC3 RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      TS (S3-24) - Body ground 10 kΩor higher

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY (See  BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY  ) 
    NOTE: When replacing the brake actuator assy, perform the zero point calibration (See  CALIBRATION   ). 
  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BODY GROUND - DLC3) 
    1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard: 

      BODY GROUND - DLC3 RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      CG (D1-4) - Body ground 10 kΩor higher

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: Go to next follow T/o 
  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - DLC3) 
    1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard: 

      SKID CONTROL ECU - DLC3 RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      TS (S3-24) - TS (D1-12) 1 Ωor less
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard: 

      SKID CONTROL ECU - DLC3 RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      TS (S3-24) - Body ground 10 kΩor higher

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
