Preliminary Procedures Remove the instrument panel (I/P) trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Trim Pad Replacement . Lower and position the steering column out of the way. Refer to Steering Column Replacement .
1	I/P Carrier Bolt (Qty: 5) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten: 9 N.m (80 lb in)
2	I/P Carrier Screw Tighten: 2 N.m (18 lb in)
3	I/P Carrier Nut (Qty: 8) Tighten: 9 N.m (80 lb in)
4	I/P Carrier Assembly Procedure Note the location and routing of the I/P wiring harness prior to removal in order to assist in the reinstallation. Disconnect the electrical connectors. With the aid of an assistant, remove the carrier from the vehicle.
