Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the shift control cable (3) from the range select lever (4).
  2. Release the shift control cable retaining clip (2) and remove the cable from the shift control cable bracket (1).
  3. Remove the left and right console trim panels. Refer to Front Floor Console Trim Panel Replacement - Left and Front Floor Console Trim Panel Replacement - Right in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

  4. Remove the shift control cable from the automatic transmission shift control.
  5. Remove the shift control cable grommet at the cowl.
  6. Remove the shift control cable from the vehicle.
