Driver Inflator Module (Air Bag): Removal
- Disable the SIR System. Refer to DISABLING SYSTEM
procedure.
- Turn steering wheel to 3 o'clock position.
- Remove inflator module by inserting a stubby flat blade screw driver into the triangle shaped hole in rear steering wheel shroud.
- Turn screw driver to release spring fastener, while lifting up on corner of bag closest to that fastener.

- Repeat for second fastener.
- Turn steering wheel to 9 o'clock position.
- Repeat steps 4
- 5
until all spring fasteners are released.
- Disconnect inflator module harness and horn lead.
- Remove inflator module.
