Soft top storage drive with locks: Removing

The soft top storage drive is located on the right-hand side of the car.
- Open the soft top cover. Raise the sixth bow and support it with 82 93 847 SOFT TOP SUPPORT .
- Remove the soft top storage bolts.
- Unhook the cable from the soft top storage drive.
- Remove the retaining bolts from the soft top storage drive.
- Remove the clips from the idler pulley pin.
- Undo the idler pulley and unhook the cable from the holder.
- Unplug the position sensor connector.
- Remove the cable locks on the soft top cover hinge. Unhook the cable.
- Loosen the upper clips on the torsion box for the cable.
- Remove the soft top support. Close the soft top cover and sixth bow.
- Open the boot lid.IMPORTANT: Take care when opening the boot lid when the soft top cover is not locked as there is a risk of damaging the paintwork.
- Remove the Luggage compartment side trim, CV on the right-hand side. See LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM, CV .
- Undo the control module nuts. Lay the control module to one side.
- Loosen the cable clip.
- Close the boot lid. Open the sixth bow and the soft top cover. Secure with the soft top support.
- Lift out the soft top storage drive with cable.
- Transfer the position sensor to the spare part if possible.
