DTC B2446, DTC B2447, DTC B2448 & DTC B2449:

- Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect right seat belt pretensioner connector. Check terminals for open circuit or pin slide-out. Repair as necessary. Install Reference Resistor (86 12 095) into right seat belt pretensioner harness connector. Disconnect air bag control module wire harness connector. Check air bag control module harness connector terminals No. 15 (Red/ Blue wire) and No. 45 (Red/Yellow wire) for open circuit or pin slide-out. Repair as necessary. See Figure. Install air bag control module harness connector to Breakout Box (BOB).
- For diagnostic trouble codes B2446 or B2447, go to step 3. For diagnostic trouble codes B2448 or B2449, go to step 4.
- Measure resistance between BOB test pins No. 15 and 45. If resistance is 2-4 ohms, replace seat belt pretensioner. Go to step 6. If resistance is not 2-4 ohms, repair or replace Red/Blue wire or Red/Yellow wire between air bag control module and seat belt pretensioner. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Go to step 6.
- Measure resistance between ground and BOB test pin No. 15. If resistance is infinite, Go to step 5. . If resistance is not infinite, repair or replace Red/Blue wire between air bag control module and seat belt pretensioner. Go to step 6.
- Measure resistance between ground and BOB test pin No. 45. If resistance is finite, replace seat belt pretensioner. Go to step 6. If resistance is not infinite, repair or replace Red/Yellow wire between air bag control module and seat belt pretensioner. Go to step 6.
- Reassemble vehicle. Clear diagnostic codes in all systems. Road test vehicle at various speeds and loads. Verify no diagnostic trouble codes are present. If no diagnostic trouble codes are present, repairs are complete. If diagnostic trouble codes are present, go to BEFORE REPLACING AIR BAG CONTROL MODULE under DIAGNOSTICS.
