Before Replacing Air Bag Control Module

  1. When all other testing has been performed and fault has not been determined, air bag control module is suspect. Before replacing air bag control module, check again all diagnostic steps have been followed precisely. If diagnostic trouble code is intermittent, wiggle wiring and connectors while repeating test procedure.
  2. Ensure all ground points are clean and tight. Ensure voltage feeds and fuses for air bag system are functioning correctly.
  3. Ensure electrical connections are clean, tight and no pins or terminals are loose and plastic harness connectors are not cracked, broken or otherwise damaged.
  4. If original fault is still present, replace air bag control module and verify correct system operation. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK .
