Installing Pilot Line Connector

- Prepare new pilot line connector for installation.

Release and pull off cover -1-
on the new pilot line connector -3-
using a small screwdriver -2- (-arrows-
).

Release secondary lock -1-
on the new pilot line connector using a suitable tool -2- (-arrow-
).

Information
Check that the pins are aligned correctly (locking lugs pointing upwards).
If the locking lugs do not lock with an audible click, bend up the locking lugs at the pin using press-out tool from > VAS 1978/35-20 - Release Tool Set .

Release and pull off cover -1-
on the new pilot line connector -3-
using a small screwdriver -2- (-arrows-
).
- Press in pins until they engage securely.
The pin assignment can be found in the wiring diagram.
- Close secondary lock on the pilot line connector.
- Fit cover -1-
on pilot line connector -3-
until it engages securely on both sides.

- Wrap new fabric adhesive tape around electric line.
- Secure clips -1-
on the new pilot line connector -2- (-arrow-
).
