1. → Only appropriately trained and authorised persons are permitted to work on high-voltage vehicles and components.
2. → Required qualification: High voltage technician or high voltage expert.
3. → Observe national requirements and legislation for this work.
4. → Always use insulated tools, e.g. > VAS 6883 - Insulated Tool Set when working on these components.

Information

Get one or more people to help when installing/removing heavy or difficult-to-reach components.
This will prevent or reduce the risk of possible damage.

Information

Handling high-voltage lines:

Do not support yourself or your tools on high-voltage lines and their components.
Work involving metal-removing, deforming and sharp-edged tools close to high-voltage components and lines is prohibited.
Work involving heat sources such as welding, soldering, hot air and thermal bonding close to high-voltage components and lines is prohibited.
High-voltage lines must not be extensively bent or kinked.
High-voltage lines (screwed connections) have 5 mating cycles. If these 5 mating cycles are exceeded, a visual inspection of the high-voltage connectors must be performed. Then contact Technical Support.
In the event of queries or uncertainties, consult the relevant high voltage technician.

Observe the following specifications for all the work described:

Country-specific, national, legal and official regulations,
Local restrictions and export restrictions,
Manufacturer specifications from component and vehicle manufacturers,
Component-specific specifications.

These strict specifications apply in particular to:

Storage, installation and removal, transport and disposal of vehicles, assemblies, operating materials and auxiliary materials,
Handling defective and potentially hazardous vehicles as well as assemblies,
Handling battery electric vehicles and high-voltage components.

Consider relevant and qualified sources of information such as local authorities, competent importer, associations and specialised websites for this purpose. Only deliver items to be disposed of to authorised reception points.

These regulations to be complied with have to be checked, observed and, if necessary, documented by the person responsible for the vehicle for all life phases and work.

Isolate the high-voltage system from the power supply and complete the relevant documentation.

Get > VAS 6095A - engine and gearbox bracket ready.
Remove automatic transmission.
> 373527 REMOVING AND MOUNTING AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION (HYBRID)
Fit > T40344 - counter-hold tool -1- on automatic transmission -3- and engage > VAS 6100 - workshop crane -2- in counter-hold tool

Gearbox support
Connect > T40344 - counter-hold tool -1- and automatic transmission -2- using > VAS 6095A - engine and gearbox bracket -3- .
