Removing Vehicle Electrical System Battery (Lithium-Ion Battery)

Observe specifications for handling 12-volt lithium-ion batteries.

> 2X00IN SPECIFICATIONS FOR HANDLING 12 V/48 V LITHIUM-ION BATTERIES

  1. Switch off ignition and keep fansmitter key outside of the transmission range (at least 2 m).
  2. Remove terminal covers.
  3. Disconnect vehicle electrical system battery.

    Battery connections

    1. 3.1  Disconnect degassing hose -1-  from the battery.
    2. 3.2  First disconnect the ground strap -2-  , then the positive cable -3-  and move them aside.
    3. 3.3  Release and disconnect electric plug connection -4-  .
  4. Unscrew fastening nuts -1-  and loosen retaining bar -2-  as far as required until the vehicle electrical system battery can be moved.

  5. Push vehicle electrical system battery forward and open the retaining bar fully.
  6. Remove holder -1-  and remove vehicle electrical system battery -2-  .
