→ Always use insulated tools, e.g. > VAS 6883 - Insulated Tool Set when working on these components.

Preliminary work for measurement 3
- Open service disconnector.
- Remove service disconnector housing.
> 279555 REPLACING PILOT LINE CONNECTOR - on "Removing"
Perform measurement 3.
Measurement 3 (shown as an example)
- Measure resistance at connector at connection point (female), pin 4 and service disconnector, pin 4.
Refer to the wiring diagram for the pin assignment of the connectors
- 3.1 Setpoint value < 1.0 Ohm
- Evaluate measured result
- 4.1 If the measured value is within
the tolerance range (V8 engine), continue with measurement 4
.
If the measured value is within the tolerance range (4-cylinder and V6 engine), continue with measurement 6 .
- 4.2 If the measured value is outside of the tolerance range, visually inspect connectors and repair them if necessary. After carrying out repairs, repeat measurement 2.
- 4.1 If the measured value is within
the tolerance range (V8 engine), continue with measurement 4
