Preparing Seat Cross Member For Installation

Information 

• Before final assembly, make sure you fully understand all the work steps involved and carry out a trial assembly without applying adhesive. 
• The bonding process can only be carried out reliably when a smooth and swift sequence of operations is guaranteed. 
• Do not begin bonding work until all materials and tools necessary for later repair work are available. 

1. Cut the seat cross member according to the body with an overlap of > Length 20 mm  .

2. Cut out ground pin -1-  on the seat cross member -2-  .

3. Fit in seat cross member and secure it to the body.
4. Drill bore holes > Bore holes, top  for rivets through both sheet-metal panels. > Diameter 6.6 mm

5. Drill bore holes > Bore holes, bottom  for rivets through both sheet-metal panels. > Diameter 6.6 mm

6. Drill bore holes > Bore holes in overlap area  for rivets through both sheet-metal panels. > Diameter 6.6 mm

7. Remove seat cross member.
8. Drill bore holes for plug-welds > Holes for plug-welds  through the seat cross member. > Diameter 8, 0 mm

9. Prepare marked areas > Upper bonding areas  for bonding and riveting.
