Installing Roof Pillar

Information 

• Apply adhesive evenly over the entire bonding surface. 

Information 

• Before final assembly, make sure you fully understand all the work steps involved and carry out a trial assembly without applying adhesive. 
• The bonding process can only be carried out reliably when a smooth and swift sequence of operations is guaranteed. 
• Do not begin bonding work until all materials and tools necessary for later repair work are available. 

1. Fit roof pillar, check that it fits perfectly and remove roof pillar again.
2. Apply adhesive in the marked areas > Connection areas of body  on the body.

   > Application depth 0.5 mm

3. Apply adhesive in the marked areas > Bonding areas on roof pillar  on the front roof cross member. > Application depth 0.5 mm

   Bonding areas on roof pillar

   1. 3.1  Also apply a bead of adhesive all around the marked areas > Bonding areas on roof pillar  . > Application depth 3 mm 
4. Install roof pillar.
5. Screw in screw -1-  and tighten to > Tightening t  orque 8 (6 ftlb.) Nm  .

6. Resistance spot-weld the roof pillar in area -A-  .

   Area -B- , front: > FLOW-FORM RIVET 9A7.008.473.00 

   Area -B- , rear: > FLOW-FORM RIVET 9A7.008.606.00
