Removing D-Pillar Reinforcement

Information

The bulkhead part will be damaged irreparably during removal and must be replaced.

Disconnect connection points > Connection points.

Connection points
1. 1.1 Remove punch rivets using > VAS 852 001 - body dent removal system, aluminum and > VAS 6790 - compact booster .
  >5X00IN23 REPLACING PUNCH RIVETS AND PENETRATED JOINTS
2. 1.2 Unscrew self-tapping screws -1- .
Heat bonding areas > Bonding areas on D-pillar reinforcement using > V.A.G 1416 - hot-air blower .

Bonding areas on D-pillar reinorcement
Lift roof frame section reinforcement up slightly in the D-pillar reinforcement area and guide out D-pillar reinforcement.
