Installing C-Pillar Reinforcement

Information 

• Apply adhesive evenly over the entire bonding surface. 

Information 

• Before final assembly, make sure you fully understand all the work steps involved and carry out a trial assembly without applying adhesive. 
• The bonding process can only be carried out reliably when a smooth and swift sequence of operations is guaranteed. 
• Do not begin bonding work until all materials and tools necessary for later repair work are available. 

1. Position C-pillar reinforcement and check that it fits perfectly.
2. Apply adhesive on areas -A-  of the body.

3. Apply adhesive on C-pillar reinforcement > Bonding and welding areas.

   1. 3.1  Apply adhesive on areas -A-  and spread out evenly.

      > Application depth 0, 5 mm 

   2. 3.2  Also apply a bead of adhesive all around the bonding surfaces -A-  . > Application depth 3 mm 
4. Fit C-pillar reinforcement and rivet it in at the marked areas -A and B-  .

   Area -A-  : > BLIND RIVET 999.190.229.01 

   Area -B-  : > BLIND RIVET 999.190.227.01

5. Rivet in C-pillar reinforcement in the marked areas -A, B, C and D-  .

   Area -A-  : > FLOW-FORM RIVET 9A7.008.473.00
