Preparing Lock Carrier For Installation

Information 

• Before final assembly, make sure you fully understand all the work steps involved and carry out a trial assembly without applying adhesive. 
• The bonding process can only be carried out reliably when a smooth and swift sequence of operations is guaranteed. 
• Do not begin bonding work until all materials and tool s necessary for later repair work are available. 

1. Fit in lock carrier.
   1. 1.1  Cut lock carrier at the point where it joins the body leaving an overlap of 30 mm.
   2. 1.2  Fit in lock carrier and secure it to the body.

   3. 1.3  Make cuts through the lock carrier and body in the overlap areas.

2. Cut sheetmetal inserts used as a welding backing strip for the two wed areas from the lock carrier.

   >5X00IN10 WELDING ALUMINIUM

3. Drill bore holes for rivets in areas -A and B-  through both sheetmetal plates.

   > Diameter 6, 6 mm

4. Drill bore holes for rivets in areas -A, B and C-  .

5. Remove lock carrier.
6. Prepare the marked areas > Joint areas  for joining.
