Removing Evaporator/Condenser Line

  • Danger of freezing 

    → Avoid contact with refrigerant.

    → Wear personal protective gear.

    → Observe the safety regulations for working on air-conditioned vehicles and handling refrigerant.

    → Observe the safety regulations for extraction and filling systems.

    → Observe the instructions for repairing air-conditioning systems and storing spare parts.

Information 

Seal open lines and hoses with suitable plugs from the > VAS 6122 - engine sealing plug set  .

  1. Remove refrigerant line at the condenser.

    Pulling evaporator/condenser line out of condenser

    1. 1.1 Unscrew screw -1-  on the condenser.
    2. 1.2 Pull refrigerant line out of the condenser.
  2. Loosen holder -2-  .

  3. Release electric plug connection -1-a-  and disconnect it -B-  .

  4. Remove refrigerant line for condenser -4-  .

    Unscrewing screw at connection point for refrigerant line for condenser

    1. 4.1 Unscrew screw -3-  at connection point for refrigerant line (internal heat exchanger) to the condenser.
    2. 4.2 Remove refrigerant line for condenser -4-  .
  5. Unscrew screw -5-  at connection point for refrigerant line (internal heat exchanger) to the air-conditioning compressor.

  6. Unscrew screws -7-  for refrigerant line from evaporator to condenser (internal heat exchanger) -8-  at the expansion valve.

  7. Pull grommet -6-  out of the cross panel.

  8. Remove refrigerant line for evaporator.
