Installing Evaporator/Condenser Line

WARNING:
Refrigerant
- Danger of freezing
→ Avoid contact with refrigerant.
→ Wear personal protective gear.
→ Observe the safety regulations for working on air-conditioned vehicles and handling refrigerant.
→ Observe the safety regulations for extraction and filling systems.
→ Observe the instructions for repairing air-conditioning systems and storing spare parts.
Information
- Replace O-rings.
- Coat O-rings with refrigerant oil.
- Do not remove stoppers for lines and connections until shortly before installation.
- Installation is performed in reverse order.
- Screw in and tighten screws securing refrigerant line (internal heat exchanger) to expansion valve > Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)
- Screw in and tighten screw in connection point between refrigerant line (internal heat exchanger) and refrigerant line for air-conditioning compressor > Tightening torque 12 Nm (9 ftlb.)
- Screw in and tighten screw at connection point between refrigerant line (internal heat exchanger) and refrigerant line for condenser > Tightening torque 12 Nm (8.85 ftlb.)
- Screw in and tighten screw for refrigerant lines at the condenser > Tightening torque 12 Nm (8.85 ftlb.)
