Information

If servo motors were replaced , they must be taught using the PIWIS Tester .

Install left footwell outlet vent -1- .

Installing left footwell outlet vent
Install knee airbag on driver's side.
> 697819 REMOVING AND INSTALLING KNEE AIRBAG ON DRIVER'S SIDE
> 9900 - PIWIS Tester 3 must be connected. Then teach the servo motors.
1. 3.1 > 9900 - PIWIS Tester 3 must be connected to the vehicle before starting it.
2. 3.2 Switch on the ignition.
3. 3.3 Select Air-conditioning system control unit.
4. 3.4 Maintenance/repairs must now be selected.
5. 3.5 Teach and check flap servo motors must be selected. Then press F12 to continue.
6. 3.6 Follow the instructions on > 9900 - PIWIS Tester 3 .
7. 3.7 Read out the fault memory and erase it if necessary.
8. 3.8 Switch off ignition, shut down > 9900 - PIWIS Tester 3 and disconnect it.
9. 3.9 Carry out a function test.
