Instructions for sealing seams

Information
- Due to changes to the spare parts range, add-on parts must be sealed before assembly (painting) during repair work as shown in the following illustrations.
- The sealing material > SEALING MATERIAL can be applied directly to add-on parts coated with KTL paint (cathodic dipbath coating).
- The seam seal can be painted over when it has reached approx. 70% hardness (approx. 4 - 5 h at 20°C, 50% relative air humidity. Higher air humidity or dampening with water accelerates the hardening process).
- Hardening can be checked by a nail test. Press your finger nail gently into the hardened sealing compound; if this causes no damage to the sealing compound surface, the seam seal can be painted.
