Preparing Connection Areas Of Body For Installing Spring Strut Mount

Fit in spring strut mount and secure it to the body. Check gap dimensions.

5X00IN DIAGRAM - BODY GAP DIMENSIONS

Position spring strut mount using the straightening system.

1.1 Drill bores for the rivets through the existing holes. > Diameter 6.5 mm

1.2 Offset bore -1- so that it is moved outward slightly -arrow A- .

Drilling holes

1.3 Drill two holes -arrows B- on the supports between the spring strut mount and longitudinal member.

Offset the bores for the drilled-out rivets -1 and 2- so that they are moved up slightly.

Offsetting bores

Remove spring strut mount.
Prepare connection areas on the body for bonding.
