Removing Coolant Reservoir

WARNING:
Hot fluid
- Danger of scalding
→ Avoid contact with hot fluid.
→ Wear personal protective gear.
- Disconnect electric line -1-
.
- 1.1 Release and disconnect cable plug -2- .
- 1.2 Unclip clip -3- and set electric line -1- aside.
Electric line
- Loosen coolant reservoir -1-
from the strut.
- 2.1 Release and disconnect cable plug -2- .
- 2.2 Loosen spring band clamp -3- using > VAS 6890 - Spring Band Clamp Pliers and pull off coolant hose -4- .
- 2.3 Catch escaping coolant and close off line connections using suitable stoppers.
- 2.4 Unscrew screws on holder -5- .
Coolant reservoir on strut
- Remove strut -1-
.
- 3.1 Unscrew nut on line bracket -2- .
- 3.2 Unscrew screws on strut -3-
.
- 3.2.1 Replace screws.
- 3.3 Lift up strut -1- and disengage coolant reservoir from the holder.
- 3.4 Remove strut -1- .
Strut
- Remove coolant reservoir -1-
.
- 4.1 Lift up coolant reservoir -1- so that the coolant hose is accessible.
- 4.2 Release safety clip -2- on the quick connector and pull off coolant hose -3- .
- 4.3 Catch escaping coolant and close off line connections using suitable stoppers.
- 4.4 Remove coolant reservoir -1- .
