Removing Cylinder Head Cover - Cylinder Bank 1 -3

NOTE: Dirt and contamination

Risk of damage to units or components
→ Protect components from dirt and contamination.

→ Clean or replace dirty components.

Disconnect turbocharger lines leading from the cylinder head cover.
Unscrew line bracket screws -1- and open line bracket -2- .

Release and disconnect quick connector -3- .

Unscrew fuel line screw -4- .

Unscrew coolant pipe screws -5 and 6- and set -7- coolant pipe aside.

Unscrew oil line screws -8 and 9- and remove oil line -10- .

Close off line connections using suitable stoppers.

Turbocharger lines
Remove bracket for engine mount -1-.
Unscrew and remove screws -2 and 3- .

Remove bracket for engine mount -1- .

Bracket for engine mounting
Disconnect vent line -1- .
Release and disconnect quick connector -2- .

Close off line connections using suitable stoppers.

Vent line
Remove the cylinder head cover.
Unscrew screws in the sequence -20 to 1 - .

Remove the cylinder head cover.

Clean cylinder head cover seal, check sealing faces for damage and replace, if necessary.
