Installing Hinge Pillar (Cabriolet)

Information 

Set the new resistance weld points between the existing resistance weld points made in the factory.

Information 

• Before final assembly, make sure you fully understand all the work steps involved and carry out a trial assembly without applying adhesive. 
• The bonding process can only be carried out reliably when a smooth and swift sequence of operations is guaranteed. 
• Do not begin bonding work until all mater ials an d tools necessary for later repair work are available. 

1. Install hinge pillar and check that it fits perfectly.
2. Remove hinge pillar.
3. Apply adhesive on the joint area -A-  of the body.

   Apply adhesive evenly over the entire bonding surface. > Application depth 0.5 mm

   Connection areas

4. Apply adhesive on the hinge pillar in areas -A-  .

   Apply adhesive evenly over the entire bonding surface. > Application depth 0.5 mm 

   Also apply a bead of adhesive all around the bonding surface. > Application depth 3 mm

5. Apply a full steel weld to the hinge pillar.
